Default cammed 5.3 safe to whipple?

hey guys, buddy of mine is selling a whipple charger, not sure of the model number but its a side mount if that makes sence.so currently my motor has a ts220 cam,lpp long tubes,3200stall some other tranny goodies etc.will I be safe to put this whipple on with say 42 injectors and a retune.he says its only producing 5psi even with a smaller pulley which to me isnt much but im new to forced induction.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

I am sure its fine, but do not expect much out of a non intercooled whipple.

if it helps any i have a tr220-112 lsa with .035 milled heads, stock head stretch bolts, and running 8-9 psi on my setup now, i built it thinking i wasnt going to go boost, things changed now i have a mp122.

I know my setup is not best with 112lsa and milled heads, no arp head studs- for a boosted motor, so far so good, stall is little to much now
