I have a 6.0 in my SS and noticed a slight tick on a cold start the other day. I opened the hood and found that the front manifold bolt on the passenger side was broken. I know it is common for them to break the rear ones, however I think the weight of the turbo as well as the added heat may have been the casue. it has a KB setup with an S472 that is fairly heavy. I am wondering if i should add a support under the turbo, or if i should use a different bolt or stud? I am using stock bolts and gaskets right now. And since it is the front i think I am going to have to pull everything off that side to get it out.

center bolt holes can be tight, 2nd from front and 2nd from rear should be more open and end holes should be generously oversized to accommodate linear expansion. I have half a set of ARP stainless studs (enough for the one side) to sell, stainless expands faster than steel allowing the studs to grow more under extreme heat keeping them from popping as easily. Ceramic coating would keep much of the heat from transferring into the metal in the first place.
Hope you get it figured out!
