Default Borg Warner S300 opinion

Hey guys,

Looking to build a turbo kit for my 5.3 ecsb 4x4. I really just want a fast, fun daily driver. Something I can tow a little with and still take it to the track occasionally. I would like really quick response over max power, I would be pretty pumped with 450 rwhp or so. When my 4l60e inevitably blows up I want to swap in a manual transmission so I don't really know if that will have any effect on turbo choice but just throwing that out there. I have a buddy that is selling a borg warner s300 66mm compressor 80mm turbine and a .91ar, would this be a decent choice? if you guys have other suggestions Im all ears.

Thanks a lot guys, Appreciate the help!

That would be a nice turbo. Just not sure how fast that 80mm turbine will spool up and reach full boost.

That'll be an awesome turbo the 66mm will limit you on big power but will spool quick and not choke out so fast with the 73 exducer

Awesome, thanks a lot. I thought it would be pretty good. I don't plan on really going crazy with rpm, Do you think it would pull ok to about 6K? Thats all the rpm it will ever see for sure. I might put something like a triple 12 cam in eventually but don't plan on going to wild with this truck. Thanks again for your input.

ok, if its the 80mm inducer and 73mm exducer turbine it should spool fairly well then.

Do it do it!! It'll spool almost instantly and be able to make probably 600+whp
