I wouldn't run synthetic oil during the break in period. I've always heard that the rings will seat better using conventional oil. And yes, change the oil & filter after about 200 miles to get all of the assembly lube out of your oil.

Drive it like you're gonna drive it and change the oil/filter at 500 miles. I've done that with everything new and everything rebuilt I've had without issue.

Still have your blown blue truck ?
Ya the 03' is sold though, Jon from Huron Speed is flying in tomorrow to pick it up.

I love the 03', don't get me wrong... I basically just wanted a newer version of it so that's pretty much exactly what I bought. The TVS is dealer installed so it's still warrantied. So much tq management it makes me sick though... got a feeling their dyno tune won't last long

Wow cool deal Bill ! Congrats !

Post some pics of your new ride ! How did you go about getting a blower installed by the dealer with a warranty ?

I had a Btyan Herter tune in my 95' Impy SS , ran great / strong .

Thanks Tim! I'll be sure to get some pictures up very soon.
I went to a dealership in New Alexandria called Grabiak Chevy... they do all kinds of performance installs, lift kits and so on... since they're doing the install they can honor your manufacturer warranty.

I'm pretty disappointed to be honest

Maybe it's just getting broken in but I figured from a 15mph roll with tc off this thing would be worthless in 2wd. When I drop the pedal there's about a second to a second and a half delay then the truck starts pulling.. pulls hard but I had expected more.. I suppose this is why they can still warranty the truck lol. If I had to guess I'd say my 03' would beat it.

Like I said above, I don't see this "warrantied dyno tune" lasting very long, I know there is a LOT more potential in it. It also has a 3.7" pulley on it which without the headers is supposed to be around 6.5-7lbs of boost so...

Probably order a 3.3" pulley, 102mm tb, and go see Mike from New Era in the spring
