turbos are the way to go for big power. just turn the boost **** and you can turn it up to the edge of knock. put in some good gas and turn it up some more. no belt slip. a pair of 76's would be way too much turbo. my 70's are too much turbo. i liked my single pt88 for a killer street set up or if you went twins a pair of 61's.

a meth set up is real nice if your looking to run pump gas only.

would mounting one of those decently size turbos as a rear mount do any good? also would i be able to use any of my exhaust i have now with a rearmount. i know some like headers and some say manifolds are better for rear mounts

a killer exhaust system would be a waste on a rear mount set up. not sure how a big turbo would work in the rear. with a 408 it might work prety well.

it's your choice. some stock 317's will take you a long ways or 392's or whatever the hot ticket is these days. i have afr225's but i ran stock 6.0's for the longest time. i dont think the heads are a very good bang for your buck(on a turbo set up) considering how good the stock ones are. they are more of a all out max effort mod. if your just looking for 700-800 i wouldnt waste the money. with a stick/408/boost 700rwhp should be prety easy. i bet a single gts76 on the trick front mount kit would get you well over 700rwhp but you would want to fab up an intercooler. i got to 640rwhp with a t76(not gts76) thru a 4l80e/tcase/mostly stock 6.0 but this was with good fuel. to do it with pump gas that 408 and stick will help a ton.

You have caught me at a very bad time but what would you have to get for your complete exhaust set-up? Will it fit around a 4L60E?

A 408ci with a single S85mm turbo hit's 700+rwhp on straight 93octain no problem at all through a 4L80.Also only 8-10lbs of boost will do it.With a 3200rpm stall there is really no lag at all.Just floor it from a stop and roast them till you let off the gas
