Boost spike over 20PSI while tuning it. I wasn't present at the time it happened.... The pump gas in it was also old. I had just put 80Lb injectors on it just prior to this

Mileage had to be over 150K, Barely any crosshatch left. #2 and #4 cam bearings had the oil hole's restricted and I didnt like the wear on a few of the lifters.

I rebuilt it with a light hone, 2 used rods and pistons, all new gaskets, new seals, new cam bearings, New Lifters, an XR269HR (comp 54-414-11) cam I had laying around and LS6 valve springs.
The story as old as time that keeps getting retold...but that engine was perfect while I had it. lol

Never said it wasn't. It was all stock and only on 4 PSI as well. (Minus the LS9 head gaskets and ARP head head studs)

I told Rey not to go over 10 PSI but he must have been having to much fun at my expense...

My old 6.0 that i ran in my black truck was gen 4 rod, stock flat top piston, rings gapped at .021 top and .023 bottom, ls9 gaskets, 243 heads that were cut .030 and i ran that setup on pump 93 with twin 625 nozzle methanol on 100% M1 in the boost cooler tank and 10* of timing. Ran it that way for over a year and then had an unfortunate mishap and blew the hose off the map sensor and well, you know the rest of that story.... i had an oil pan full of pistons, pins and rods!!

What was the boost level? That sounds like a **** ton of carnage for 10° of timing!

Sorry to hear she let go. Paying to play get expensive sometimes!
