What if I get my 317 heads ported n polish? Would it help??

It will help power a bit but end up lowering boost to some extent.

it would help yes, but in forced induction you do not need to best heads to get big power, you are forcing the air in not sucking it in like on a n/a engine.

Keep the same heads. Get the 10% overdrive crank pulley. N 8rib kit.

I ran a tvs1900 on a 408, it was great. Only made ~7psi with the smallest pulley, but that was plenty. Roots blowers actually work better the lower the boost is.

If you have an engine bigger than a 6.0 then I'd recommend a 2300 blower. The 1900 makes good power spinning the **** out of it on a bigger engine but it's more suitable to a 5.3 or 6.0. Like the other guys, I'd stick with your 6.0 and put some pulleys on it. With high-revving pulleys, a good exhaust, intake and cam you'll make some really impressive power. Your transmission will be living on borrowed time.
