Default Boost?

If i run 44lb injectors on my 6.0 with a 60mm turbo. What kinda boost should i see before maxing out the injector flow rate?
On motor right now with e85 injectors im seeing 77%.
Just curious!

you should get to about 8#'s I'd say before youre done.... depending on how rich you tune it... I'd shoot for 11.2-3 AFR

What year is your truck, a returnless fuel system will max quicker. My old 44lb injectors were at 114% at 8lb and 11.6 afr.

Oh ya and that was shifting at only 5650rpm. If you spin it up it will max them quicker.

With a turbo that small (barely enough for a 4.8L) you're going to want to run meth on it to keep the IAT's somewhere in the usable range. Without meth I'd say you'll be good to about 8psi with a stock cam tuned in for 11.8:1 and keeping the rpm below 6k. If you add meth in there you should be good for 10-12psi.

my AFR is right around 11.6ish. With a 7psi drop in fuel pressure, although it is compensated for in the tune.....

Didnt realize Meth added that much fuel.

The amount of meth sprayed can be a huge difference. Most kits are very adjustable not only in amount of flow, but at what boost level you want them to start spraying. One thing I've certainly came to the conclusion of though is that if you want to run meth you should tune in a 2 bar SD since it is so much easier to tune in the afr and make it smooth. For a mild street setup I'd recomend the SVO green top's and meth. The SVO's will feed quite a bit and have a very nice spray to them. Low speed drivability with them is great.

so i should go with a 70mm turbo? I am contemplating silver mod o mp70mm for my setup but i have the 44lb injectors sitting here that a good friend is going to let me use for a little while so i can save for some 60's. This will be my first ever FI vehicle so i am trying to learn. I am not shooting for a race truck nor do i care about breaking into low 12's or 11's just want a street toy! 6psi and some spray should do the trick for a little while!
