Default BlownChevy: Need help pls!!!

Got my blower back from Mag and they cleaned it up but found no probs. Reinstalled with new gaskets and problem of lo boost persists. Compression was 175 dead across the board. cats are not clogged , and no other leaks were found. Continues to be a case of the engine wanting but the boost stalling...

No slipping, no black dust...boosting 3.5lbs. Only think I've had done is a tranny cooler. I was considering if PVC was fouled or if TB wasn't opening fully. I really don't know what else to check!

I really think you have a slipping crank pulley.

OK...I agree its gotta be something simple like that, but both me and the installer have looked and don't believe thats the prob. I changed the belt for a new one and got the same result, and compression is good so the crank must be good as well - and the blower was tested positive. How wud u check in case u wud do something different?

I think he is refering to the pulley spining on the crank. The pulley is just pressed onto the crank with no key way to make sure it doesn't spin. Supercharged engines put much more load on the pulley and it spins on the crank. They make pin kits to fix this. Blownchevy should be able to get a supplier for you. I had to pin mine due to similar issue.

No, Magnacharger cant pin your crank pulley for you unless you send your whole truck in. The big pulley at the bottom of the engine is the one that's probably slipping. It needs to be pinned. This is done with it on the truck.

It's not a componet of the blower its a componet of the engine.
