Default blower for stock 6.0 looking for good low end power.

I am new to superchargers, but since I have swapped in a LQ4 I have a few questions.

I understand how they work and some basics but do not know the difference between a radix, centrigugal etc. My truck turns big tires and is not a racer and I am wondering which type/brand would boost power in the low end (to get the tires rolling) the best. If you could tell me why this would be the case also then that would also help.

Also if I am putting it on a stock engine is this the kind of thing I can install myself?

Thanks

The low end grunt of the radix will do well for your set up. Buy one and you'll

It's been beat into the ground around here which blower to buy... bottom line is just buy a Magnuson Radix with the intercooler if you want a blower. Then if you want to modify it later you can get anything you might want to run it harder. Plus, it's all been done, tested and proven already.

All of the above answers are correct, what you really need to consider is what are your goals for the truck. With the big tires, you are going to be looking at a trans sooner than later....with any power adder. Call me if you would like to discuss it further in person.

I'm on my 4th week with the Radix on a stock 6.0 (other than headers) and the throttle response IS Instant. I don't spend much time in the upper rpm, but from 1500 to 5500+ it revs really quick. a total blast to drive. I considered a turbo, procharger, yada, yada. but am happy with the radix just because the instant response, and thats all I really wanted.. Get one and you'll be happy too...
