I was towing between 3k and 5k and my EGT guage goes to 1600, my readings were off of the scale.

1600+ sounds pretty ugly. Was this a stock set up, or were you pushing things a bit? What kind of boost pressures were you running at those temps? Flat roads or hills? Sorry for so many Q's. Appreciate your taking the time to answer them.

if you are using that truck for mostly towing, I would HIGHLY suggest a larger pulley and a "towing" calibration from magnuson. I had a 2003 2500 HD that towed a 34 foot enclosed car hauler (18.5K total weight) 50+K miles during the summer accross the US, and never even saw a HINT of a issue.

Does anyone know what the stock pulley size is on my application and what the "towing" pulley size should be? Does the stock belt still work?

should have a 3.2 on there now, I would run a 3.3 or even a 3.4 on it to tow. yes the belt will be fine.

And you measure the outside of the ribs on the pulley, towards the middle of the pulley not including the front and rear outside edges? Right or wrong? My dealer must have changed pulley because the alignment is not 100% from front to rear and there is no stamped info on pulley.
