Im sold! I have an 07 silverado new body style w/ 5.3 - first thing i want to do is put some exhaust on. If I plan to go FI - do you think I should go one single 3'' for now till I get the supercharger, then install another 3'' for duals, or go with a dual configuration right now from the start.. Cause it may be a little while until I get it.

P.S. You have to show me some video clips of your "Breeze" in action!

I believe a large dia single will flow better than a dual anyway. Just go with single unless you really like the look of duals.

Duals will always outflow a single exhaust setup. I gained 10hp with the 2.5" duals over the 3" single I had. I would probably benefit more with dual 3".
There is a chart somewhere on this forum that shows flow and recommended tube size per hp/desired use.

Other than my bike my truck is all I drive. I get 18+mpg on the highway and 12mpg in stop and go city.

Here is a Video a member here (Demanshu) made at the track like a year ago it was hot as hell that day and could only muster a 12.7 Ive done alot of mods since this video. Just click on Breeze and enjoy

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...ghlight=breeze

As far as exaust gos I would get ya some long tube headers with duals and cut outs for the track high flo cats just do it right the first time and be done with it. I dont know what youre finances are like but if I had it all to do over I would just borrow 10gs and do it all at once well maybe 15gs is more like it.

I want to flow as much horsepower as I can, It may take a little bit a time but I'll get there. So, Duals would be the way to go then, done. 3'' pipes, long tubes, and Breeze mentioned something about ports for the "Cat's," I was under the impression that we needed to take them off for more performance. We can keep it legal too?

P.S. Breeze your truck is BAD!!! It really moves the ?#@% out!

Thanks man but dont forget there is such thing as too much flow and you will loose bottom end not that I think you will with 3'' duals with cats and cats really dont hurt ya that much IMO Just hang out on the site like I did and just read read and read again and learn cause I was kinda old school and this is not old school so Ive learned alot here and still am so good luck moddin.

Ive heard the exact opposite from a guy up the street from me that builds race cars. He has a dyno as well, But most of the stuff he does are vintage race cars but has done hundreds of turbo setups. He said he also gained a few hp. going from a smaller size dia tube starting out and increasingly getting larger toward the end like a megaphone. Maybe its turbos that like singles better??
