Default Belt slippage on altenator?

I am losing boost and it looks as if the culprit is the altenator pulley. There is alot of belt dust under the altenator pulley. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and how you fixed it. I have a gatorback belt on the new Radix bracket system. I am looking into purchasing the old bracket set up.

Thanks

I'm going to guess that the slippage is occurring on the s/c pulley. The alternator won't put anywhere near enough load on the belt to cause slipping, but a pullied down Radix will. The belt dust is generated by the slipping of the s/c pulley and likely ends up deposited on the alternator since that's where the belt goes next after the s/c.

The radix is pretty good at letting you know where the slippage is at and that dust is the tale tale sign.

yes my crank is pinned....the reason i'm pointing at the Alt is the dust is collecting under the alt pulley on the bottom right where the belt is leaving the pulley. I am trying some belt Dressing and that sticky stuff did make my blower whine like never before but still cant get hat 1# or so of boost i'm losing.

Well if you have belt slippage and boost loss it's the s/c pulley that's slipping, regardless of where the dust is.

I've heard good things about them on pullied maggies, they're a lil harder on belts from what i've heard so I'd just keep an eye on it over time.
