Behold the 383 shortblock

Nice numbers, did Toma tune it?
My next plan is to get the exhaust up to snuff like Roger's and then maybe throw a bottle on there. 100 shot maybe. And maybe a 2300 blower, too. There's this diesel I want to beat.

It's been 4 years since I posted in this thread but I thought I'd put up the last dyno and track numbers I did. The truck still looks and runs great, and I'm not even sure what upgrades I did to gain another second in the 1/4 besides methanol, 4" exhaust and bigger injectors but it's a stoplight beast and hasn't been beat off the line by anything in 4 years... not even close... and there are some quick cars around here.
I have over 30000 miles on the setup, without a single failure aside from a transmission. I've towed big RV trailers and have done a few hundred launches and burn outs and the thing just keeps performing. It just never lets me down.
I added a Walbro 400 after these pics were taken so I think it makes over 600hp now. You can see it was running out of fuel.
I've installed nitrous and will tune for that in the spring.
I've been meaning to update the thread, so here it is.
