Bed mount turbo Help please!!!!! LQ4 GT4502
#1
I got a stock 03 2500 hd 4x4. Wanting to do a bed mount to keep things simple under the hood. First question is am i going to lose a lot of horse power by not running an intercooler like i would if it was under the hood? The truck will get one plumbed in later. Second is what should i do with the exhaust to feed the hotside? It has the stock manifolds with dual 3in exhaust and the turbo is a twin scroll? Thanks for the input.
turbo specs Gt4502. Divided housing.
Compressor:
.66 a/r ratio
69.5mm inducer
102mm exducer
Turbin:
1.33 a/r ratio
88mm inducer
90mm exducer

Id say the compressor is a little small to feed a 6.0. The twin scroll part doesnt matter much with our V8s, all the exhaust is gonna go through a single turbo. So the easiest thing would be to merge the exhaust into one then into the flange, and you dont need to do a bed mount, you can do it under the bed like STS which has been around for a while. People do run rear mount with out an intercooler but its really not that hard to put an intercooler in and they are not the expensive.
