Default Backfiring when under load!!?!?!?!

We still havent figured out what the backfiring is coming from?

We though it was coming from the joints leaking... We sealed them up and dont feel any leaks anywhere.... Of course my boost gauge isnt here yet so I really cant tell....

I do know that I need a crank relearn.....

Can this cause the car to backfire under load....

HP tuners was reading 8.x* of timing
and brian @ pcmforless said that he had the tune set for 16.8*

Can this cause the backfire sound???

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this??

I know a bad crank sensor can make it run like ***. I would suspect not having the crank position learned may be causing this.

Gotta take the truck it to a dealer or find a shop that has a tech2. I'm not sure if you can do the relearn with any other tuning device. It's very simple to do with a tech2.

Would be a minimum of .5 hours to do here. Would run you $37.50 plus tax. I would think most dealers will be around the same. If you lived nearby i would borrow a tech2 from the shop and do it for free, but ur too damn far away

I understand... I appreciate the gesture though....

I know a service man up at The local dealer here.... I bet I could slip him a monetary gift and he would hook me up...

Does that sound like whats causing the backfires???
