Auto Meter, Nexus Boost Gauge Question
#1
I noticed the Nexus boost gauge comes with a map sensor.
Do I need to use this particular map sensor to operate this gauge?
I will be using a 2-bar map sensor that will be coming with my Alkycontrol kit. Will the gauge still be able to read off of this map sensor?
Thanks,
Jim

You will have to T in the sensor for the gauge, they have different sending units from what Allen told me, I asked him teh same question about the cobalt boost gauge which uses a 2bar map also.

I'm wondering what or if a 2-bar map sensor will work with this gauge and wiring?
The map sensor already hooks into a vacuum line right?

hey chevy6000 are you just trying to hook up that gauge? if so that map sensor that comes with the gauge is what powers and the brains of you boost gauge you will need that. you can mount it anywhere best on the firewall and the nipple has to face down and run that to your manifold vac line. im kinda confused on what your trying to do ??

So I now see it will be used as a stand alone map sensor specifically for the gauge.
Is that correct?

Yes it is stand alone. I should have said in my last post to replace your factory map sensor with a 2 bar(if you are going to 2bar tuning) and T in the 2 bar for your boost and T in the map for the meth. Just be glad you arent turbo, My vac line is going to have 4 Ts into it, boost map, meth map, wastegate reference, and BOV reference.
