Just wondering if anyone runs the big diesel muffler on a turbo truck.

 

I'm getting it for my s480 build someone posted a video in a top recently related to turbo exhaust try searching for it

 

I have a 4" Corsa diesel muffler and love it. I went through a bunch of mufflers and always wanted the corsa. I swallowed the cost because it's pricey but it was worth it. I should have just bought it from the start. Here's a couple of videos.

Plus its a NO drone muffler and it maintained turbine whistle

 

From your video it sounds pretty liud just cruising around. Is it noticeable inside the cab?

 

Yeah it's loud outside like most corsa mufflers, however inside the cab it's amazingly quiet. Also it's piped out back behind the passenger tire. I was looking for a muffler that would still have turbine whistle.

Does your s475 turbo have turbine whistle? I know they have loud compressor whistle and I've been toying the idea of swapping to a Borg turbo.

 

I don't' have the turbo to quiet mine down... but on a gas engine this is NOT a quiet muffler. It sounds killer though. It has a more 'racey' tone than a straight pipe when you are WOT. Theres really no other way to describe it other than a stock car at full bore. Its AWESOME lol.

I have a diamond eye 4" and I have no complaints. Its like every other diesel muffler, straight through louvered, and it only drones around 2400 but all 6.0s do that I think...

 

Diamond on mine no drone yet.
But is a perforated not luvered.
Wonder if you flip the luvered one make it flow backwards would sound different.
