This is a pic of a boost controller that was in the used sts purchase I made. Anybody ever heard of this? I quess my red wastegate spring must be a 7.5 one cause I installed my dynotune gauge this weekend and I am hitting mid 7's for boost.

Cool

I googled that ECI the other day but could not come up with anything. If you do try it out replace that plastic T with a brass one. My STS kit came with a plastic T and it broke. If it breaks you will have no boost control and will over boost to the max the compressor will put out.

I also get 7+ psi with the red spring and maybe a spike to 10 at the shift. the spring is rated at .4 bar = 5.8psi but it seems to deliver a little higher boost in the STS kit. To me that means you need fuel system upgrades if not already installed and be sure to log to see if you are getting any KR. I get KR on the base spring so I had to adjust my tune some. Meth seems to cure it but then you will counting on your meth system for fuel so it had better be good. I was seeing 8*KR on the red spring.

I had a street tune and I don't have any kr. I just found out cause I just installed my boost gauge but my tune is safe and runs great. I have a set of 05 fans on the way and will be building an intercooler setup soon. This FI stuff is fun. It really is the !!!

I've got one of those on my truck as a temporary solution. It's super-touchy with a big spring in the wastegate. Just a little bit of a turn will take it from 12 psi to 22 psi. I have it on a switch to bypass the controller and use the wastegate spring to launch then flip the switch for full boost. Mine is inconsistent when I flip the switch. Sometimes the valve doesn't close all the way and allows boost back to the wastegate and sometimes only thru the controller.

Bottom line: Be careful!!

here is the controller that i am using on my sts setup. it is the on that they sell. It is simple and works. I did have a problem with one breaking and my turbo maxing out the boost gauge, but the new one is all set.
