Hey guys, put a mp90 on my truck and the rotor bearings are starting to wear causing knocking in the charger, looking to see if anyone has a rotor pack lying around out of that setup thats good or know a good place to just rebuild the rotor bearings? I called embree they want 595 to rebuild unit minimum cost and i've already replaced snout bearing and seal and rear needle bearings. so just trying to find a rotor pack and replace mine.

What kind of cam are you running in the engine? Sometimes a choppy cam will make the blower knock just because of the crankshaft speed variation at idle. Can you post a vid?

 

I'm running an ls1 cam out of a lq4, Put it in because it was basically free from a friend and we did it in about 4 hours. Its not just noisy at idle, its noise through the entire rpm band, It has a different tone in its whine, I had a ported m90 in my gtp and I know what they should sound like. This sounds more like a dental drill when its whining out vs a whistle.

Sounds like rocks grumbling around all the time. Coupler is good, snout bearing is new as well as rear needle bearings.

DO NOT use Embree, had some huge issue's with him rebuilding my old side mount mp90

 

You might call magnacharger too, a while back they were blowing out 4th Gen MP90 blower units for like 300 bucks on ebay, brand new never used, just had to swap my nose over and i was good to go, see if they have one hiding somewhere??

 

Alright I will call up magnacharger and ask if they have any units lying around. Does anyone know if blownchevy still works there? as for using a m90 It needs to be a gen v rotor pack. I have newer style rotor pack.
