I hear the underhood temps are challenging to deal with with the Livernois kit. The fact we have a lot less room than a full-size truck makes it even more difficult.

I think I'd hold out for the KB or Whipple....something about full boost at 2000 RPM that I really like.

kenny bell or whipple will be 6500 with long tube headers which i would get even if i get a magnacharger

this kit is 4800 (with resale licnese) and honestly with 4.10 gears there shouldnt be any problem with lag with our engines.

I think fit will be a major issue, but I'm glad you're willing to do the research, and I know you will keep us posted on your progress.

Last I heard Livernois was going to get a TBSS to build a kit... but that was several weeks ago... when Chad (Xtreme Motorsports) and I talked with Rick up there. Chad has a TBSS and he would like a kit as well. One thing is for certain after viewing the engine compartment their existing kit wouldn't have a chance of fitting. I was going to get a kit but was told "4-6 weeks" before they start shipping again because they were doing a minor tweek on the passanger side header to make it a bit easier to change the plugs. After waiting a few weeks the time table was still "4-6 weeks"... so, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a Magnuson. There was a distributor in town that had the kit in stock. Nothing like pulling the trigger and getting the goods the same day. All I had to wait on was the tuner from Magnuson... and that took 3 days to get. My truck is a daily driver and I gotta tell ya... I couldn't be happier. One thing is for certain if Livernois get a TBSS kit done it will be kick ***...

I think the Livernois Kit ( Detroit Speed Works) would be nice under the hood of you TBSS however like other have said I think the main issues will be heat and lack of space. Dont give up, I would love to see some results of this project.

Yeah, heat is what i'm worried about with this kit. Texas is already hot as hell, so I probably wouldn't be able to race unless it's night.

Thats no fun, although that does tend to be when most of the races occur.

Heat has not been issue for me here in Florida and we are already into the 90's+... I do not even have electric fans and nothing has melted. LoL I am going to install electric fans soon... Can't go wrong with Livernois...

With the right parts the Radix can be pretty damn quick. Just slapping it on and running with everything else stock isnt all that impressive but adding a cam, 90mm TB and good tuning really wakes them up. True a turbo is cooler but until they design a kit for your truck I'm not sure I would bother due to a tight engine bay.
