Well, I want to say congrats... I know things aren't always as bad as others think...
I am interested in this set-up for the torque advantage in my lifted 6.0 2500hd 4x4...
Power is fine, but I want the "diesel" torque with the ease of the gas engine. We have a camper and a boat... Torque is what I won't... Lol

Yeah, you are not gonna get either of those with a turbo 6.0. It will never have the torque, and you are making it more complicated by adding a turbo and fuel system. Just trade it on a Duramax .

Well 1000 miles on my turbo kit, no major issues yet. Couple good pulls on the highway. Getting between 18-19mpg, thought I'd get better with my tune but I've been putting my foot in it. Stock trans doesn't really care for the big boost but its ok with 8 and below. During normal driving I've not seen it HI over 4 on my truboost.

I did have some blue smoke at idle after a couple really hard pulls down the highway, haven't seen it much sense so I'm keeping my eye on that. I'm tuned for 12, boost gauge had hi of 14.5 and 15.3 on those, I really didn't get a good look at oil pressure but that is just a thought.

I plan to run at the track next time my schedule lines up with test n tune. I'll let her rip and we can find out what this thing will actually do. I have zero expectations.

is your "stock trans" a all stock 4l60e or did you put a transgo 2 kit in it?

18-19 MPG is good for daily driving.

sorry i've been out of the loop working on my other car right now....

my trucks trans is completely stock, like i said i don't beat on it every day, ill get into boost maybe 6-8 tops if i do,

it does slip if i do a dig all the way through 100+ no matter which boost its on 8 or 12 etc.

I don't expect it to go anytime soon though, it is MY firm belief that its all in the tune. I'm not trying to set any land speed records like some of these other guys on here, if I were id build on a different platform, such as my C6z or worse wifes gen5

Right now I'm almost to 2k miles without any issues what so ever. I love the setup and for my "cheap" turbo its perfect. to each their own.
