Default Another Trick Front mount coming up!

Just got done ordering up the kit through Nelsonperformance. Getting it hot coated. Went with the standard size turno .81 a/r and the intercooler. Also just ordered up some trans parts from FLT to try to keep that thing together as long as possible. Going to be 2 weeks to get the hot coating done.

I didn't think I would be the type to instantly write a post about this, but man am I excited!

I will be doing the install myself with help from my buddies. Maybe this truck will finally get out of its own way.

I would like to thank Rick at Trick for answering all my thousands of questions this weekend about the kit.

Dan

You will love it!! Save your change for some tires too! lol. The hardest part of the install is pulling your factory y-pipe off. My bolts were stuck on there pretty good had to heat them with a torch. intercooler was a pain too since I built my own plumbing, but i guess you got that figured out already. The simple tranny stuff shift kit, servos etc... helps alot, mine is still going strong. Other than that the install is super easy. and Congrats!!!

If you want your install to go quicker, ask Alan if he can send you the intercooler kit now so you can get started. install new TR6 plugs now, and any guages you are going to install. all your tranny mods. By the time you have this stuff done the rest won't take much time at all.

It is going in my 2006 sierra. Old truck was the 96z71.

I only have 5000 miles on the truck so hopefully all the bolts will come off pretty easy.

WJ, did you do all your tranny parts yourself too?

Hope not to have the issues with the intercooler since it is coming from the same place.

Hadn't thought of doing the plug first.

I got the AEM wideband from Allen also, so I think all the stuff is going to ship at the same time, but I guess I could as him to send some stuff early.

I was thinking of just starting it on a friday night and working till it is done so I don't have that much down time.

WJ....I might be calling you when I am knee deep in this and stuck.

Yeah did the tranny stuff with a buddy. Not that hard just takes time. Intercooler should be easy since yours is a kit, but its nice to have it all mounted up and ready to go, just a couple of connections once the turbo is on. You can do the plugs while you install the turbo but that adds another 30 mins to the install, might as well do it now and not have to do it later. Call if you have any hangups but you should be fine.
