Another Radix question....

What’s the fastest someone has gone with an extended cab GM pickup with the Magnacharger 112 head unit? It seems like most “normal” running setups with the usual bolts ons (cam, exhaust, small converter, etc) are running mid 12’s. The better running setups (tune and other things optimized better) are running bottoms 12’s. However, I haven’t seen many in the 11’s. I can only think of one and he has a 5.3………
What combos are you aware of---no Nitrous. Thanks.

TTT. Apparently, there are quite a few 11 second radix ext cab trucks running around. I'd appreciate any help you can provide. I have HP Tuners and I will be correcting my fuel concerns soon---probably convert to an 03 and earlier return type system. Thanks

Thats a pretty open question, what motor are you working with? Not many dipping into the 11s all boost. Krambo just had a freak truck and the breeze hit 11.7s on a 6.0 and 112 but hes a rclb truck.
Low 12s all boost should be attainable with a lot of tweaking.

Stock LQ9 with bolts on (Cam, headers, exh, etc). My motor is screwed right now (spun cam bearing) and I've located a low mileage replacement. Plan is to change the rod bolts, put in a new cam and throw the kitchen sink at it!

Don't get me wrong...mid 12's is fast and probably plenty (for a month or two--lol) for the street as I drive this truck 365 days a year, but the high 11's really got me excited for a second there! I'm running a 2.8 pulley right now and see 9-10 psi. I'm sure the truck has high 12's in it as it felt a lot faster this past winter then when I went 13.10, but I REALLY HATE the dramatic decrease in performance after driving it. If it varied 2 or 3 tenths (hot lapping vs cold) I would be pretty happy. Right now when it is heated up, it can't even beat a G8 GT!!!
Any tips on the tune? Or cam recommendation---right now I have the GT2/3, but I'm sure it is toast (cam bearing failure). Thanks.

Come on!Kidding man.
If you hit great weather (colder the better), your set-up is dialed in and you not afraid to push through a little KR (keep timing to 21*)and run a small pulley, it is attainable. The Radix combos seem to respond very nice to a little spray as well. If I kept my old motor, I was planning on spraying it till it blew.
FWIW, I saw .6 time difference between 85* and 40* ambient temps. A small pulley does not like to start with high ambient temps. IAT's make a huge difference. All of my 11 sec passes started with IAT's lower than 90*...most in the low 80's. Heat soak was an issue for my times.

Believe me I understand the need for speed and trust me no matter how fast you are there is always faster.

except if you really do drive it every day, 365. If you can get a radix boost only ex cab into the 11's consistently, I am sorry to break the news it won't be on the road 365 days a year. **** is gonna fly at some point. But good news, 12.5 to 12.7's are easy and feel great on the street.
