Im on my phone so i cant edit my post but i also wanted to say that he has it up to 19 degrees of timing with absolutely no kr. He said another degree added almost 10 hp but that he felt more comfortable leaving it at 19 for now, so thats what we will do. Boost drops off to almost 9 pounds before redline, guess thats the nature of my hallman boost controller.

Kinda glad it didn't. Don't know how far I want to push this thing. Good to know I have at least 60 hp to gain on the big end just from keeping boost stable though.

How many miles on the engine? Is the idle better now with the tune?

He spent about 2 hours working on just the idle, not due to lack of skills... but due to being a perfectionist. That's why I like this guy. Idle is perfect. Cranks right up and sits about 700, cam is very choppy now. He sent me an idle clip but it isn't good enough to upload and really hear. Truck has about 60,000 miles. About 4 or 5k boosted.

Yea I thought it would get better that can be a nasty little cam when you find the sweet spot. I idle mine high to just miss it. Once it gets around 80~100K you can turn it up to 20 psi. Rings are prob still a little tight at 60K.

Negative on the controller being the issue as I've run the same one with a 70mm,72mm,76mm and it can hold rock solid all day. I will say some dyno's are better then others at keeping a load on the truck so boost holds better. You also may need more WG spring.

See what it does on the street.

Thank you for clearing this up, as I have never seen it do this on the street. With your experience, at my power level which size turbo would you think would suit me best? Just stay where I am for now until I stud the top end?
