Almost certain its not a mustang dyno. Not sure how to tell but ill ask my tuner tomorrow. Ideally what would my timing and AFR be at?

It certainly would make for a finicky tuning session, but I wouldn't suspect it is the smoking gun you are looking for. Maybe look into getting a 2+BAR MAP sensor and an SD tune? It certainly does seem a little low. At 10psi, I would expect at least 430rwhp. Maybe just give your tuner some more time to sort things out.

That's kind of a matter up for debate. A good, safe, AFR for a boost engine at WOT should be between about 11.4 to 11.8. This obviously depends a little on how good the charge air cooling is. WOT advance for 10psi (also depends on cooling and fuel) probably shouldn't be more than 16deg (IMHO) A safe range might be 12-15deg.

Yeah for a street tune your not leaving too much on the table at around 11.4-11.5 , stay on the safe side.

I feel thats respectable, not sure how much power the that 6 speed robs from ya, and stock valve springs.

Now go have fun with it, and when ya get the itch, do a cam / springs/ converter and bump the boost up a couple pounds and you wont believe the monster you will have.

a 5.3 at 10psi should be around 450-500hp but thats considering all of the best conditions possible. I would shoot for 11.0-11.3afr and maybe a little more around 11.5 until 6psi+.

Ok guys Ill check to see what hes running for timing and where my AFR is at, hopefully Ill get to 450 rwhp, if not Im somewhat disappointed, I was assuming Id be up around the 480 rwhp range, not 390.....

Just a though, my turbo downpipe is a 3.5" and it merges into a 3" corsa catback, how much hp would that rob? if any? ALSO I do have a small *** airfilter on the turbo do to my other filter cracking, its a cone filter thats 5 inches at the base and 4 inches at the end, only about 5 inches long, could that be holding it back too?

I would say the exhaust could be a slight issue and the tiny filter a bigger issue. I would run the biggest filter you can fit and idealy you never want the exhaust to get smaller in a FI application. Unless you do dual that is.

exhaust is not the issue. Im prolly making around 600 rwhp on 14psi with my 5.3 and 3" DP and I believe foose04 is running a 3" DP and he is over 700rwhp

Ok Im going to assume the exhaust is ok, I will be installing a cutout, but would that filter make that big of a difference? Its the only filter I could get in time for my dyno session, buddy, its definitely small, but I thought it would do, maybe Im wrong?
