Default AEM Tru-Boost

Hey guys. I have a question for those of you running an STS system with an electronic boost controller, specifically, an AEM Tru-Boost. How do you have the solenoid connected in reference to the wastegate? Are you using a reference line from the manifold and if so, where is it connected to the solenoid and where did you pick it up at the manifold? I bought the kit used and the guy was using a simple ball-and-spring type under the truck boost controller and had it installed between the compressor of the turbo and the side port of the wastegate. He was supposedly making 9psi. I have installed an intercooler, replaced the worm gear clamps with t-bolt clamps everywhere, and just installed the Tru-Boost. Now, I am having trouble getting past 4psi. It is a GT-67 turbo, and I do have an Alky control system installed also. I have set the meth to come in at 5psi, and under my old set-up without the intercooler and with the old controller I would see 7psi and I used my autometer boost gauge to set the meth. So, I have something "verified" to check against my Tru-Boost because the LED for the meth is not coming on under full throttle meaning it is not seeing 5psi. I am using the tab at the back of the manifold, passenger side, for my manifold reference. It is a 6.0 engine. I did search before posting and found some similar problems but nothing specific. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Mount your solenoid as close to the turbo as possible and reference right off of the turbo itself ,just extend your wires from the solenoid to the gauge if needed and take your gauge reference off of the intake. Also make sure you have the spring setup correctly on your gauge ie. 5psi 6psi etc (scroll through the settings till you see spr).

Thanks for the help. I think I might be running it down now. Today I had a chance to play with it a little after talking to the AEM guys and I saw over 5psi for the first time under my current set-up. Still a little off, but it's a start!
