so i have been reading the forum for a while now and i would like to get a turbo system rigged up but i dont really have the $ for the sts or a custom system. i think the turbo system would be the easiest and cheaper way to go. so i figure that i will need fuel pump upgrades and some bigger injectors but i dont know how i should go about it. also i would like to know what turbo i should use on my 4.8 and any other things i should look into (probally meth injection since the best octane around here is 90) any and all help is apreciated

e-mail Trick. I ordered my kit, should be here late next week or the following. I will be doing a complete write-up on install with lots of pics and custom front mount
I/C for this. Will probably get some video if I can figure out how to put it on here. I'll also be getting some #'s on the dyno for everyone.

trick performance products they are a sponsor in the right column----->>>>>>
the base sts will be cheapest and you wont get away with 3500 or even 4k for it
you will need a fuel pump walbro 255lph, and injectors 42#s(8.1L marine) at least
then you will need a tune i suggest nelson

You could always pick up a used STS kit from someone on this board or from another. But other than that, you are going to have to spend some money to get the kit done right and to get the other parts needed to make it reliable and worth your troubles. The Trick Kit seems very nice and complete. Get the intercooled one and make sure you have the truck tuned right (ie NO mail order ****) once you get the kit done.
But to really make a turbo 4.8 work you need a forged bottom end and some ported and polished LS1 heads. I heard of a used setup up like just like that one that is for sale
