I guess, I can run 1,2,3,4 or whatever if I am in a higher gear but in 1st it is a bit difficult and is more on or off. In 1st it wants to go from 1" vac to like 8psi and is kinda hard to hit in between. Joe@leftcoast said I can get a heavier spring for mine also I believe.

Where exactly does yours hook up physically?

on mine the vacuum hose hooks up to the nipple in the rear of the supercharger by the water hoses. If your hooks up in front of the rotors it should be a heavy spring all ready.

Isn't that port on the rear of the blower for a boost gauge? Mine hooks up to the front of the blower. Guess yours is setup differently with the light spring.

Ya my boost referance taps into where that port is on the rear of the blower. Just installed a TVS1900 on my buddies TBSS and his is the same routing as mine. Did the manual say to hook it up that way?

it was hooked up from the factory with it to the boost rear port. I called Magnuson and they told me thats how it is suppose to be with the light spring by pass. they told me to hook my boost gauge by t ing into it.

I know there are differences between kits but my 08 5.3 1900 SUV kit is plumbed the same as 07-09 6.0 / 6.2 truck kit according to the instructions I saved. Wonder why the change in reference points for the kit your running on your ride.

it has nothing to do with the kit. they could come with both just they wanted to get cheap so they made the light spring. The light spring is like a on off switch. when you hit 0 vacuum the sc kicks in and it takes off.
I just put the heavy spring by pass on and now it drives like a normal truck. no more switch. Its much smoother. I bet the way it was was like if you were just driving down the road and hit a 50hp shot of NOS.
The way to adjust it is stupid. dont realy know why there is a adjustment. You just set the set screw so the blade is closed. well the blades always closed. it cant go passed closed so why do you need a set screw. the only thing it can do it open the blade if its too far in. I guess maby the set screw keeps the blade from hitting the aluminum sc. It could also be used to limit the boost.
