My A340 died after <1000miles. Put in a Jay Racing 340 and it's been doing good.

If you didn't already buy the 340, I suggest you buy a walbro, deascthworks, or bosch.

Yup, I already bought it. I've had it too long and now I can't return it. I hope I have a good one. I was originally going to use a Denso pump, but this one came out and that's what was recommended to me. Now that people have ran them a while it turns out they're not so great I guess.

Are you running gasoline or E85? I think they have a better chance of surviving if ran on gasoline.

Haven't had any A340 problems yet. I think I've put 3 or 4 of them in trucks now, hard to remember exactly.

No E85 in my area so I'll be running regular gasoline. I didn't think they were even rated for E85 so I looked up the instruction manual.

It can be found here:
http://aeromotiveinc.com/wp-content/...1141_11142.pdf

At the bottom of the first page it says "Due to the dielectric properties of Alcohol based fuels like E85, fuel pump service life will be reduced and filter maintenance increased. Be certain alcohol compatible filters are installed and properly maintained."
