8 rib crank pulley guys: Where are the 2 extra ribs?

I was just pointing out that, based on that photo, it appears that the new style Maggie tensioner won't line up with an 8 rib pulley setup. Otherwise the belt would have been against the back rim of the pulley and the 2 unused ribs would be at the front.

The extra grooves are always toward the radiator due to brackets.

The belt will actually line up with the inner 6 grooves the picture was just taken with the belt on the pulley like that on accident.

I was hoping that was the case.

That pic just popped up in my head when this discussion started. Never even thought about the belt alignment when I first saw it.

Glad I came across this...just picked mine up from a M112->122HH upgrade--also bought the new tensioner--and the belt is currently centered in the tensioner ribs. I'll realign that tomorrow...

is that tensioner a factory replacement or is it ONLY for the radix?
