Coming from someone that has had both, do the supercharger all day, much more fun for a dd.

After about 500 phuqueing miles, we're home. Proud new owner of a slightly used single cab long bed '04 cheby 1500...white in color. Has all the bells and whistles along with 88,000 miles. Even has an "upgraded" radio with remote control that I'm too stupid to operate. Paid $7800 for this jewel. Everything else I ran across was more money for less truck. How bad did I get hosed? My son said the long bed makes it look "gay". I said, "good...stay the hell out of it"

Leaning toward just transplanting the old truck's motor, tranny, and rear end into the new one. Having had Maggies for going on 7 years now, I'm thinking I might be too spoiled with the instant response of the Roots blower to deal with any thing less than instant. The 6.0L's and 10:1 compression should help get the thing moving even with a turbo. I know the turbo system is capable of more power and that is sure something to consider. Having cooler IAT's and a meth system that actually cools the intake air is a definate plus on the turbo side too.

I'll put 35 to 45K miles on this truck per year. Is there any advantage to either one MPG wise? With the TVS and reg cab short box, it got 14ish in mixed driving.

Good to hear!

If you need any replacement parts for the blower during the transplant let me know! Glad you are staying with a REAL power adder

Still haven't ruled out a turbo (or two). I'm sure I won't use a different blower though. If I stay belt driven, the Maggie will stay.
