I'm thinking all I would need would be another 100rwhp and 150rwtq to make pulling the trailer more enjoyable.
So anywhere from 330-350rwhp and 450 rwtq. With those small of power levels and pulling a 6000lb trailer really need a better trans? I'm not interested in a 4l80e swap.

I made 445hp/431tq on a 5.3 with 234/228 cam and a PT88 with 6lbs of boost. I added a 50hp shot and made 491hp/502tq, and on 16lbs I made 662hp/634tq. So there is plenty of options and potential in 5.3 combos

It will make pulling a trailer much better for you. I pull my boat that weighs 5k or so every weekend with my turbo 6.0 and it pulls much better than when it was N/A. The biggest thing to watch is intake temps when climbing hills. As for the trans my truck is on a basically stock 4L65e and has made over 500rwhp with just over 8lbs and trapped 112mph in the 1/4. It has been like this for a year so far but I do have an 80e ready to go in this spring.

We need to get you into a larger set up.

If you gonna be pulling that my h weight. Watch tranny temps, air temps, and don't just stay in boost while going up the hill. Have your tuner set it up for pulling not just max power stuff.

The 18-20 hp is a general rule of thumb. If the turbo is more efficient and piping is more efficient you should see more, also if its not very efficient you will prolly see less. I have no doubt my cam only setup is over 600 rwhp on 12 psi
