Default 5-7 psi power with 5.3???

What kinda power are people getting with 5-7 psi out of your 5.3? Stock, or modified motor, list your mods also. Single, twin, centrifucal, positive displacement, etc.....

should be looking around 450 or so at the tires depending on exact setup. On 8-10psi im looking to be in the 450-500 range.

You are probably in the sweet spot of the turbo. That more than 3 psi is probably why it feels so much stronger. When I went from 10 to 12 on my old setup it felt the same and I was in the sweet spot.

is it safe to say, for every pound of boost you get around 20hp. So 5-7 psi could be 100-150hp over stock? More importantly to me would be the extra torque between 2000-3000 rpms. Hoping 5-7psi would give atleast 150 ft lbs tq more in the 2000-3000 range. Or am i missing something here?

You are pretty much on the money. I bet it is closer to 18rwhp for each lb of boost. 20 is easier to figure out though.
The torque would be there under 2500 for sure.

Anywhere between 400-450. I made about 500 with my 5.3 and ls6 cam @ 10 psi. just bumping your timing could gain you 50 hp
