Hey Spoolin, how do you think some get away with so much more than others. Timing maybe?

 

Yup yup. I'm still learning when it comes to tuning but Parish was putting 20 psi on his 5.3 and it's still running. But he was using race gas which is what methanol is supposed to help cure (octane of fuel).
I've heard alot of these guys say it's all about the tune and seeing their results I can't argue. There's an Avalanche site (not sure the name) and there's about a dozen guys on that site that are running 12-14 lbs of boost on their stock motors some with meth and some without it. They do their own tuning so and they are real big advocates of tuning a certain way. A few of the members are on this site and there was a real informative post about boost/meth/etc...

Havin' my wife drive my truck all over Dallas on sales calls Wednesday to finish out the break-in miles. If the day goes ok for me...goin' to Kennedale for new times although it will be hot as **** tomorrow evening. Hope I get to go.

well congrats on the turbo... i still have yet to receive mine yet.. i bought one from brian (blownchevy) but he hasnt got around to removing it from the truck yet so im waiting not so patiently haha but what can ya do.. im glad someone is having fun with theres!!!

Actually, lets back up a second...you said you were going to buy it, I have not taken any money from you. I told you I have not had the rack space to get my truck on the rack to remove it. Yes, it is my fault that I jumped the gun and offered it for sale before the removal...my bad, what is a guy to do.

So before you start a **** storm that I have taken your money and not sent your turbo system you are mistaken. After reading this post and going over a few things in my head, I have chosen to take it off and shelve it. I do not need someone such as yourself starting rumors that ARE NOT TRUE.
