Engine will be fine up to 12 psi. I would look into getting some springs for your heads though. My tranny didn't last long at 6 psi so yours will probably die of heart failure quite soon at 8 psi. Tranny will die, engine will live. Some people who shall remain nameless (parish, turbo8, ) have put 20 lbs through their stock 5.3 and they are living well under that boost!

When not if, mine has issues (soon enough I take it) I'll tend to mine too I guess. Glad I spent enough time to prepare for this but I'm still hoping it will last awhile. I will be running my stock C5 ZO6 against my truck when I get it back and am comfortable with it. I will drive the vette because it's a 6 speed manual and I'm used to it and my wife or daughter will probably drive my truck. I hope it kicks my vette's ***! I will try to get a video.

Billy, looks like it's coming right along. I appreciate you working so hard on it this past weekend. I will try to stop in tomorrow to take a peek. Promise not to stay long... don't want to slow things down. Is the cam done also?

cam, springs, and stall are all done. We only have gauges, upper wire harness, and tune to finish.

Got a look at it earlier and heard it idle. I LIKE IT! Billy was waiting on the wideband so Dustin can get started with the tune. If i'm lucky, could have it back tomorrow. Then let the testing begin!

Got the truck back this afternoon. Got to take it back next week to finish it up. Just couldn't do without it anymore. The converter is WAY too tight... it feels stock...2000-2200. Needless to say it's a DOG out of the hole. It starts to pull pretty hard at 3500 and real hard at 4000. Approx. 5.5 lbs. of boost. Going to change converters or have this stall increased significantly and increase boost to 8.5 to 9 lbs and then dyno.

Times tonight... 1/8th mi. Yea, I know it sucks, but it's a start. More soon!

Stock........................STS67.
60 ft...2.445..............2.375
330... 6.82@53.33......6.355@59.79
660...10.401@67.82....9.545@76.12

Some observations after driving it around a bit this weekend. The converter flash stall is only 2000. I got it all warmed up and was able to build about 5 lbs. by foot braking to 2800 in 4wd hi. I am sure that the '02 ZO6 cam is hurting me below 3500 and this could be part of the reason it didn't stall higher at the track and got such crappy 60 fts. It does explode with power between 3500 and 4000. Shift points were originally 5700 and after 1-2 shift dropped to 3500. Now it shifts at 6400 I'm told (tach only goes to 6000) by Dustin. It drops to 4200 after 1-2 shift. It just needs the converter to be looser and it's gonna be fun as ****! Pulls VERY hard for a truck but my ZO6 would still smoke it. We'll see if that changes when it's all done. Also, how much boost on 93 and no meth, 8.8 or 10.3 spring? 18 degrees of timing and about 11.1 under boost.
