Why would you want to swap TO the 4L60e?

Whats the rest of your setup?
The tall first gear in the 80E is nice for a turbo setup.

Stage 4 is a BB 76 magnum unit
Stage 3 is a JB 76 magnum unit

unless there's an upgrade or turbo swap.

More converter and/or gear. Or less cam. I'd choose the later. Let the turbo make the power. You won't be leaving much on the table power wise with a whole lot smaller cam. Something more matched to the weight of your truck, converter, and gear.
