Default 408ci w/ TVS2300???

I keep seeing and reading about people putting TVS2300's on LSX 427's, 434's, etc... I am wondering has anybody put a TVS2300 Front-inlet, Rear-drive (Jackshaft) on a low compression (8.5:1-9:1) 408ci engine? I am wondering what the output would be with a good set of L92's, a proper camshaft, etc... Has anybody heard of anybody doing this yet and what do you guys think the possible output of that setup would be? Thanks.

Properly set up, that motor will be cape able of 950 BHP . You will need to run a stand alone COG drive in the front and a COG belt in the rear.

Be the first!

This is what we did with the little 1900 and 5.5 lbs of boost. You would have a monster with the 2300, as always blownchevy has already seen the potential.

Depends alot on what the motor is being built for. Someone on LS1Tech is doing a 416 in a Hummer with the TVS2300. For a street application in a truck you could make 600-650RWHP with bigger cubes like that fairly easily. I wouldn't drop the compression that low though. I'm still waiting to see some results from everyday customers to reflect actuall numbers. If you twisted one for all it's worth and built it for that blower in a race fuel setup you could possibly see over 700RWHP. Twisting them hard and getting into higher IAT's the ZR1's with less drivetrain loss than a truck are making a little over 700RWHP with the TVS2300.

...interesting
reading that post on tech and having you say 'be the first' confuses me to the abiliity of maggie to get the 2300's out in the configurations guys want.

I dont want a ******** war but I think some guys are waiting on them already...b/c that the only configuration that will give the large cubes the psi they are looking for...but again I am not wanting to start a war, JMO.

My engine 408 ci 8.7 compression ratio with TVS2300 6psi
I had belt slip and I got 460rwhp on dyno dynamics and I'm going to 8 rip setup

Can you share the specifics of your motor?

The 2300 should be the perfect setup for the 408. I posted our numbers with the 1900 running a 2.8" pulley that was slipping. Maybe Blownchevy can give us some numbers on how much more air the 2300 flows over the 1900. My compression was 9.1 with some ported LS2 heads, 1.75 rockers, with a moderately aggressive cam. Assuming normal drivetrain loss of 20% my peak wheel hp should be 582 with 544 ft/lbs on the ground. I would certainly expect the 2300 to put a 100 hp on that. I think Zippy has it about right.
