Default 408 88mm track times hp numbers

Here's the setup and engine details: 2000 Silverado extended cab, 2wd, full weight, 88mm BW turbo (that's all i know), 408, forged internals, stock heads (i'll double check), PatG cam, NP hot pipes, a/w intercooler (16x14 3.5in/out), 80e conversion, stock suspension, slicks.

Dyno results:
711hp/850tq

One of the fuel pumps was messing up, it's got enough fuel now for a high rpm, more timing, more fuel dyno run next time.

Track results:

11.2 @ 119.9 @ 12psi.

We wanted a 10sec, but the truck just wouldn't hold the line with any boost. Mid way through 1st, the torque comes in and spins the tires.
Overall, we're very happy, the customer beat his personal best with the previous Nitrous setup.

You got that thing running pretty good! Sure would like to know more about that turbo, like who built it and the rest of the specs. I'm pretty sure BW doesn't build a 88mm so would have had to been built by Forced inductions or Bullseye or some one like that. The base units they build those out of is a S400 which is a 75mm turbo. Would also like to know what hot side it is. Again the base units for those are a T6, 96mm turbine and a 1.36 a/r and 5"v-band.

I'd like to know more about the turbo as well, lol. When he brought it, he didn't think it'd work, but obviously it does.
I think it does has a 1.36 on the exhaust housing, I'll check again.

It also has a 5" outlet, but I used a 5" vband, that tapers down to a 4" tube.

Maybe it is a 96mm, sure it big.

As far as hotpipes, it's the same kit on my Avalanche, except with a T6 turbo flange. The hot pipes are our Nelson Performance hot pipes that are included in our new Turbo Kit coming out very soon!

Ya, so it is the standard T-6 1.36a/r BW. I'd like to see ya pull the compressor cover off and measure the inducer to see if it really is a 88mm wheel.

Those turbos work really well. I had the S400 75mm with that same hot side on my truck, but have a S480 80mm compressor with a the smallest T6 hot side, 1.10 a/r and 83mm turbine wheel going on it now. Its rated to flow 125lbs./min which is around 1k rwhp. Those turbos sound awesome TOO!

What rpm do you start building boost and what rpm is full boost on your 5.7?

The S475 would start building in 1st about 2800, and all in about 3700 with the quick spool valve blocked open and with it close about 800 rpm lower. That's with the big hot side and a 2800 stall. Haven't tried it with the small hot side S480 yet (which is still bigger then a lot of turbo most guys run around here, )
