I don't believe that had anything to do with the engine though.....
Thunders is right, a well build engine "should not burn oil" but with the oils control ring placement, the 402+ will be more likely to do so...

408 all the way!!! I am putting out over 700 hp and averaging 650 ft/lbs of torque at just 5.5 lbs of boost with the TVS 1900. This engine will last for years running such low boost, no issues with detonation or bad fuel. I was only getting 12 mpg with my 6.0 L anyways. I am getting about the same now, of course I can't keep my foot out of it. Torque is what trucks need, go with the torque monster, the 408.

I started buying parts for the 408 the bought a tbss.... Now I'm pulling the motor and built tranny out of the who selling the turbo kit.. Putting a stock 6.0 and 80e in and selling the ho.
That motor will get stroked to 408 and go into my 90 rcsb or a fox body....tranny is going into the rcsb with the 408 or I have an ls1 sitting in the shop and I'm thinking tvs either way
