Default 4.8 or wait for 5.3

I bought one of the roush blowers to put aside for my next project, well now its time for the next project and I really want a black single cab with a 5.3.
I have been looking and cant find anything, finally a black single cab came up but its a 4.8..
Should I worry about the difference and wait for a 5.3?

theres some difference in hp, but remember you can always swap it for a 6.0! my truck used to be a 4.8

I spent 6 wks looking for a decent rcsb with a 5.3 and finally gave up when I found a clean black rcsb 07 with 4.8 in my budget. I'm gonna go ahead and add forced induction the 4.8 since it only has 50,000 miles. And like blazinblue says, drop in some real cubic inches when it blows up!

funny thing is your not likely to blow the 4.8l up. little motor loves boost. at least its economical til you save your pennys for the motor you really want. too easy to swap the motor and reflash the computer. i started with a 4.8l and fixin to drop an lq9/4l80e combo in now

The truck i saw was gone before I could get to it, still looking but most the single cabs I see have a 4.8 so there is a good chance that is what ill end up with.

The 4.8s have great potential and like stated love the boost. Mine reacts very well to mods.
