That's what I would do too. Even do it in baby steps... Non-intercooled T70 kit, 6-7 psi and upgrade as you break stuff or want to go faster. You just might like a low boost turbo setup.... for a while!

Im in kuwait so the engine would be dirt cheap since nobody knows what an lq4/9 can do, Most of the guys here mod BBCs , And mostly N/A, So i can trade my engine with tranny for 900ish-1000 usd, And im sure 6500 will get me all boltons and if i add more 1000 usd i can get L98 (new GEN not the old one because we have alot of holden/australian chevys here) bone stock...

with 7500 i would just go with a used ls3 and get a 4l80...and if you hav ne cash left over get a cam...believe me an l92 is pretty cheap and with a cam you can hav sum fun...altho if you just want to go na i would say get an lq9 with low mileage=1000-$1250,,,4l80 low mileage=400-800,,,worked 243s=used around 600-700, stock 350 for low mileage,,,new stall=850-950,,,goodluck on finding a good used 80e stall...exhaust=???up2 u...rear end=1500-2000 brand new..driveshaft=???depends,,,102 fast intake and tb=1400-1700,,,cam=400-450,,,to many things to factor in....save 10k and then you will hav a good budget to get everything you need...or if your patient just buy a major part here and there...it sucks to do it this way since it feels like you will never finish...

I'm with the 4.8 crowd. It will be fast with F.I. and still have decent gas mileage.

Ive had both. I had the turbo 4.8, blew it up, and drove a forged LQ9 for 8 months before turboing it.

I highly prefered the drivability of the 4.8T over the NA 6L. Both cases already had an 80e installed. I ran the 4.8 daily on 9lbs

Now the good news since i told you guys that im from kuwait so please take a look at this

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed...izen-2700-euro

so now the money for the project is upped to 11k$ USD

1000 KWD = 3580 USD

Plus we are going to have free food supplies for 13 months for free i think i dont have to save up for anything, just spend it once you get it

I emailed KB about a kit and trick neither of them replied maybe because of the overseas shipping or so, but im getting ported ls3 heads from lingenfelter and what about the cam? LS6 or GT2-3?

Converter (Havent decided yet)

Arp rod bolts and head studs

tried to check out pistons but no luck with the 3.26 stroke

what fuel upgrades that i would need?

Tomorrow im going to get a 80E with a 14 bolt out of HD and will get new axles for a 6 bolt conversion chromoly

With LS3 heads i would not use either of those cams. Get a custom spec'd cam

so what motor you going with with 3.26 stroke? putting a 4.8 crank in a 6 liter block? im pretty sure the ls3 heads wont work on a 4.8 because of the bore size. also there is a company who makes 4.8/5.3 pistons. it may be JE i forget
