Default 3" vs 4" intercooler

So Im upgrading my turbo from the 76/64 to a 78/76 and getting it reutned. I was wondering if I could fit it how beneficial a 4" intercooler would be since im upgrading stuff right now anyways. Mine is currently behind the grille and is 31x12x3. I know bigger is always better but im wondering if itd be worth the trouble if swapping it. Last time i checked my IATs while cruising on the highway at like 70 they were between 25 and 35 degrees above ambient, that was when it like 50 degrees in the fall though if that makes a difference

Thanks for any input

What is your IAT under booost now? Does it go up quickly, or does it stay fairly low?

Well I hope its not cause the trucks been on the road for about a year with the turbo setup on it

I dont see how it could be too because the intercooler is about the same size as the grill opening
