I was lookin at the thunder racing blower cam. Its a 214/230 .601/.579 117LSA would that bo ok to install now and get the radix down the road?

yea kinda what i did just build for a boosted app if you are doing that. others can chime in on that cam but looks right. You don't want to bleed off unused boost, which is what would happen with that other cam.

While I haven't done a FI unit, I'm not familiar w/. that cam. But I do know what most go w/. It's usu. 1 of following:

Z06 cam
LPE GT2-3, also LPE GT7. The 1st 2 are proven, some have also used the GT7. Others will chime I'm sure.

can I use the valve covers from my 317s or will I need different ones?

The valve covers will work, unless you go with an aftermarket lifter design that specifically states they require modified or aftermarket valve covers.
