2012 GMC Sierra 5.3 pro charger setup
Hey all.
Looking to procharger my Sierra 5.3. Completely bone stock. Trying to figure out if anyone has a used d1 kit maybe or what pro charger would suit my truck the best. It is my daily driver and I do haul a trailer every now and then. Just looking to make some extra horse power without having to go through the motor. Any ideas would be great. No I will not go turbo. Any advise or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

I say go for it. You will need some other supporting mods, but for what your goals are it shouldn't be too big of a deal.
D1sc kit with prochargers front mount intercooler
Pin the crank and run a 4" to 4.25" pulley on the blower.
Add a good intank pump and some injectors
...and a single 4" cat back exhaust
I actually did this exact combo on the 2006 Chevy with a 5.3. Everthing else was bone stock. Had Ronald McDonald not have tuned it, I'm sure it would have given me lots of enjoyable miles. It made around 450 rwhp around 10 lbs. of boost.
