Default 2007 Tahoe Supercharged?!

Saw the first one Today at Magnuson. They have seen a 110/100 gain on the chassis dyno! Not bad IMO!! The new system will be IFD due to the motor being set back under the windshield cowl, so now the truck guys are going to get the benefit of an Inlet Forward System on the truck!! WOO HOO!!

I was told by the owners of two different Chevy dealerships that a Tahoe SS is coming soon... is this a sign?

Could you explain a bit more on IFD.... does the IC still sit in the valley with the charger on it... or is it more like the whipple 8.1 IC kit??

EDIT: wait do you mean the inlet for the charger comes from the front instead of going around to the back

Here's a couple shots of a IFD Maggie for an 04 LS1 GTO... Corvette, and CTS-V are all similar.

and here's one for the SSR... probably something VERY close to whats on the 07 Tahoe...

It sure would be nice for an LS2 SS version of the Tahoe and Avalanche...

... and just another thought that crossed my mind... looks like it would be simple for Richard at WCCH to convert that SSR intake to 90mm . Or maybe the C6 intake would work? Who knows... lots of cool things coming I'm sure.

Wondering why Magnuson did not go cog on the jack to primary on the IFD? I haven't heard the Vette and GTO guys having slipping problems at the jack shaft to primary belt when they start to lean the S/C , maybe its a non-issue. Blown Chevy, comments?

The LS2 SSR has a 90mm TB already

As for the cog set up, it was not needed. This was tested in the beginning of the IFD program and proved to be tough on the bearings....and quite frankly it was too loud.

Good to know the LS2 SSR is already 90mm equipped... should make Magnuson's life easier on upcoming hi-po truck/SUV's I would think.

My wife works at a Chevy dealership here in town... will go have to take a look under the hood of the new Tahoe/Avalanche and see how the engine compartment has changed... including accessory drive...

Thanks for the info

Bill
