I have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with a side mount magancharger. I'm having issues with the idler pulley. I'm going threw belts every few months. And my belt is riding on the edge of the pulley because the supercharger pulley doesn't line up perfectly with the rest of the other stock pulleys. I have replaced the pulley and this just keeps happening. Is there any type of after market idler pulley out there that would work better with my supercharger. Thanks.

 

Can you post pics? Maybe you can shim something somewhere so it lines up properly.

 

yeah, you need to get the pulley lined up so that it don't put lateral tension on the belt. also, how tight is the tensioner? i jumped ribs & chewed through one when i swapped pulleys and ran the same belt because it was too loose. even 1/2"-3/4" shorter made all the difference & i ain't had problems since

 

I had same issue this past summer. I also ended up buying another pulley. Any pics? This is how much overlap mine had


I loosened pulley and reset it like 10 times and it stopped being jacked- I must've just got lucky
