Default 16 Escalade... 850 rwhp combo..

Currntly my escslade makes 565/573 on pump gas on 91 octane at 7psi on 2.9 whipple. With meth 613/628. Has gone 11.72@118 on 295 30 26s and its 2wd.

Looking into a 416 by LMR and i have heads off my c7 z06 so going to have those ported. Nice cam by gp tuning and already ordered a IW 8 rib conversion kit. Will be doing fuel system also.

I dont want to sit here and spin blower like crazy but would like to keep it at 15 psi max.

i want to crack 10s on 26s and being 2wd i know will be trucky but honestly looking to get 850 to 900 hp at wheels.

anyone do anything like this onnthe DI 6.2s? Will blower even get me to 850/900 or should i move up to f1x procharger.

thanks guys

The blower has gotten the ZL1 there, but its a slightly different blower platform and lighter drivetrain.

If youre going big cubes keep compression high and don't fear cam. Keep boost in check and let the combo breathe. You'll make the power, as far as 10's I'm not sure you'll get there without a launch to match the power you make. I would target 6700 RPM or more and about 17500 blower rpm at that engine RPM. Keep your whipple below 18k and it will be happy. They HATE being over spun. HATE IT. You would stand a pretty good chance of ruining the blower going over 18k just a couple times.

What fuel will you be running? If you're sticking with meth ( I assume you are) spray a lot more of it! lol
You will run into fuel system limitations around that power mark and a ton of meth will help supplement it.

Good luck! I have seen a few stock bottom DI 5.3's make 700ish with the whipple, so I dont think your goals are unobtainable. Build it to be 11:1 or HIGHER!!! Thats what I would do anyway...

Good thread...also, thinking of getting a bit more serious on 17MY Sierra 6.2L with Whipple 2.9 (3.75 pulley). The truck currently makes 525/545 with Headers, 3.75 pulley and Meth. The numbers are low by design, because of the fragile LT1 pistons. Vehicle is daily/occasional tow rig.

Current Plans under consideration (750-800rwp target):
- LT4 S/B
- LT4 Heads
- LT4 Inj/HPFP (already own)
- ProSpeed ACM (already own)
- Turbo or SC Cam
- Forced Induction: Turbo or Whipple (Already own)

The whipple is great for what it is...bolt on and go reliable power. I haven't seen them pushed on this platform. I'm not sure, and based on discussions with whipple, that I can get to the desired power level on a 6 rib and assumed 15-17psi that would be needed. I've started to look for proven turbo kits. Outside of the Armegeddon (sp?) setup, not seeing a proven high hp turbo setup.

Agree a 6 rib setup would not be the best choice
