Default 12 volt oil pump?

I have been looking for a oil pump for a remote mount turbo setup for two weeks now! I bought a surflow but it will not flow enough oil. I need something that will flow 3+ gallons per minute. I was looking at a groco oil pump that pumped 4 gallons per minute but the person I talked to said he wasnt sure if it would last to long pumping all the time. If I could figure out what STS was using I would buy it but they wont tell me Does anybody know what I should use or If anybody knew what kind of pump STS used that would work good to.

Thanks

Yellow

Cool

This pump was posted up some time ago. It does not flow as high as you need but maybe you can reduce the flow somehow. I am sure the turbo will not need anywhere near 3 GPM flow but I will leave that up to you.

Hey Yellow, something to think about, but if your letting your turbos consume 3-4 GPM, don't you think you might be taking to much oil away from the engine?

Well we finally found a pump that will work great. I think the name of it is a flowjet. The pump is rated at 3.5-4 GPM. This is actually for cammin03's truck he's had his truck at my house for two weeks so where going to try to get everything done this weekend. He has been driving around in a rental car since so Im sure thats not cheap or fun. I will get some pictures up probley this weekend of everthing. Thanks for the help Im sure we will get it figured out.

Why would a tiny turbo need 3-4 GPM of oil flow?! I would put a restrictor in the feed line and use any of the above mentioned pumps and be done with it.

Yeah one turbo might not need that much oil but two turbos may. I would rather run to much oil than i would not run enough oil but if this doesnt work I may be using a restrictor.

i would search that. I THINK the Incon kits originally had a flowjet oil pump. Whatever brand it was, it didnt last long for most.

I think STS uses a Mocal oil pump. You can pick up cheaper parts similar to these if you search Petro-chemical supply stores online or locally. These stores also supply high pressure solenoids (ie. nitrous, CO2 etc.) as well as misc. relays and pressure switches. Here's the link for the Mocal pump.
