I am the same one. I've gone 10.9 NA in a 2000 Camaro and it would be cool to have this Mercury be able to pull up next to 99% of the cars on the road and put a big black stripe down the side of the other guys car.

Thought so! I'm a member too and also had a 51 Merc and thought about a 6.0 for that. Had to sell it, can't afford to do em all.
I've got a model a sedan that might have to go too.
Good luck with the Merc, that will be a killer combo even though the traditionilsts will bitch..........

Well per some the HAMB guys my car might be 3700 raceweight, that would be awesome. Maybe the 112 could get it done.

Those Mercs aren't as heavy as they look. I'll watch for the build over there.

I have some paint/exterior styling threads on the HAMB but I don't powertrain stuff over there since they want everything to run a flathead.

You could probably get an MP112 really cheap with so many getting rid of them. On the other hand with the advanced technology available if you can squeeze the difference out the build and get the TVS you'll be happier in the long run. The weight of those cars is nice and not as heavy as most would guess. Most people guess that the old cars are very heavy and yet they really aren't. No air bags, anti lock brakes, sound deadening/insulation, etc. The wiring and modules in a new vehicle can top 100lbs. In the old cars it's like 5lbs. A car like that running in the 11's yanking the tires would be one smooth *** ride. Are you going to do it in flat black?

Gloss black, cost too much to fix the body to have it look like it's in primer honestly.

Basically a blower like this would feel like running a nice big block in the car. Lots of power and torque down low where I need it.
